Eurocert audits and certifies freshwater and marine fisheries aligned with the Responsible Fisheries standard published by the FAO and with MSC environmental rules.

These stages cover the requirements. For a seafood product to carry the MSC label, the MSC certification audit needs to be defined first. The product supply chain also needs to be defined, and every firm in the supply chain holds MSC certification.

MSC PROTECTION AND CHAIN OF CUSTODY. Every firm audited and overseen under MSC documents traceability that they purchase products from an approved firm. This system keeps seafood caught outside the supply chain from entering it. MSC certification and oversight is valid for 3 years and is subject to annual interim oversight.
