JPMA is the abbreviation for the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association, the body responsible for testing and certifying children's care products against ASTM American Standards. The organisation was founded in the United States in 1959.
JPMA was designed so that products are tested against the relevant ASTM standards to remove potential hazards in the juvenile-products sector before a product reaches the market.
JPMA certification currently covers 23 product areas, from baby strollers to cots, mattresses, and accessories.
Many companies in the United States, Canada, and Mexico are members of the association.
