Prefabricated Construction Materials CE Certification

Prefabricated building components are modular construction products manufactured in advance at a production site and assembled on-site.

They offer several advantages:

• Modular design means they can be produced to fit each requirement
• Short delivery times,
• A flexible product that resists earthquake loads,
• Production is carried out in a factory environment, with assembly on-site.

Prefabricated construction products must be manufactured in line with the European Union's Construction Products Regulation (305/2011/EU) and are required to carry the CE marking in Turkiye as well.

The manufacturer carries out production under the CE Marking Regulation's System 2+ module. Definition of System 2+: The declaration of performance for the essential characteristics of a construction product is based on the following by the manufacturer;

(a) The manufacturer carries out the following: (i) Determination of the product type based on type-testing (including sampling), type calculations, tabulated values, or descriptive documentation of the product, (ii) Factory production control, (iii) Further testing of samples taken at the factory in line with a prescribed test plan.

(b) The notified body carrying out the certification of factory production control issues the certificate of conformity of the factory production control based on the following: (i) Initial inspection of the factory production control and the production facility, (ii) Continuous surveillance, assessment, and evaluation of the factory production control.
