Product Certifications
Gas-burning appliances cover products used across every part of daily life. Examples include gas cooking appliances, gas-fired water heaters, gas heaters, gas barbecues, gas pool heaters and various components.
CE marking and the Gas Appliances Directive: This is set out under EU Directive 90/396/EEC for parties placing their own gas products on the market. The Gas Appliances Regulation covers appliances used for cooking, heating, hot-water production, refrigeration, lighting or washing where the normal water temperature does not exceed 105 degrees C. It covers the testing, conformity audits, surveillance and certification services for these products.
Second-party audit and surveillance services: Outside of a specific standard, these are defined by the client's needs and request. The aim of second-party audit and assessment is to provide audit and surveillance with objective evidence of conformity to an agreement or specification between the client and the supplier.
