SONCAP (Standards Organisation of Nigeria Conformity Assessment Programme)

SONCAP stands for the Standards Organization of Nigeria Conformity Assessment Programme, which is regulated by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON).

This institution controls the inspection and conformity of all exports to Nigeria.

SONCAP Requirements

• Conformity assessment and fulfillment of SONCAP conditions by an accredited firm
• A mandatory document for Nigerian customs services
• Random product sampling may be conducted on exports to Nigeria.

• Medical Products (excluding equipment and machinery)
• Chemicals used as raw materials
• Military Equipment
• Products used other than in automobiles
