Frequently Asked Questions
Which certificates does my product need?
Products can be subject to country-specific or global standards. A product placed on the European market may be subject to CE conformity assessment, while in the United States the same product can fall under UL certification. Once our specialists have the details of your product, they will guide you on the correct route.
We are a service company. Why do we need a certificate?
Service companies are also subject to quality assessment when their work is procured. Having your service processes independently audited gives you evidence of your service quality, lowers your input costs, and strengthens your hand when you sell that service.
Which accredited certificate should we obtain?
We recommend the certificate carrying the accreditation that your target market requests, or that your buyer has specifically asked for.
What does the certification process look like?
Certification processes vary by product or service type. Another parameter is headcount and the size of the organisation. Once the decision to certify is made and contracts are signed, an audit plan is drawn up and agreed with the organisation. If no nonconformity is identified after the audit, the certificate is delivered within roughly one month.
How many years is the certificate valid?
Under generally accepted quality management systems, a certificate is valid for 3 years. There are country-specific and international cases where this differs. Across those 3 years, a surveillance audit is carried out each year, checking how the firm applies the standard in practice. At the end of the 3rd year, a full recertification audit is carried out.
